Directions to Villanueva del Trabuco from Malaga Airport

On leaving the airport take signs to Malaga, you will pass the ‘San Miguel’ Brewery on the right hand side and you should be in the left hand lane, this lane takes you over a bridge which spans the motorway you want to be on, and takes you in a clock-wise direction down to the motorway. Stay in the right hand lane and you will now have Malaga mostly on the right and industrial areas

On the left, on the left side you will pass a ‘Campsa’ petrol station a ‘Chrysler’, ‘Kia’ and ‘Citroen’ car show rooms, over the road you will see two large signs, one white and one blue, you need to take the directions on the blue sign (the white one is signposted ‘Puerto and Avd Velazquez’) the blue sign is marked - E15/N340 Palacio de Ferrias - N331 Motril & Antequera, this road takes you on another clockwise circle and leads you to the motorway which comes past the village. You will now pick up signs for Granada which is the direction you want to be in, at junction 241 join the N331 and follow signs for Granada & Seville. When you get to the bull the greatest part of the journey is over!

Traveling uphill most of the way stay on this road until it splits and take the right hand lanes at junction 139 which is signposted Granada, when you go over the brow of the hill and travel 2k you will see two villages on the right in the distance, Trabuco is the second one you see so carry on this motorway until you get to junction 7 (don’t be tempted to take 20, 16 or 11 as they meander all through the countryside).

When you turn off the motorway about 4k down the road you will see a ‘Cepsa’ garage and after that some overhead traffic lights, when you go through the lights and the road bends right into the village. On the right hand side there is a parking area. If there is space, park here, if not, the nearest convenient parking place. There is a small shop on the right hand side (above the parking area) next to this is Calle Indalecio Conejo, follow this street for a few yards and it turns right and then left, you will see some green railings, Casa Alta Vista is Nº14.
